Answer

What roles and permissions does PoolPuma have?

PoolPuma has three roles. Owners control the account, billing, company profile, and users. Managers run day-to-day operations but cannot change billing or company identity. Pool operators see only their assigned routes and the pool details needed to service them, never customer contact, billing, or company settings. Team members are unlimited on every plan.

PoolPuma uses three roles, each scoped to what that person actually needs.

The owner is the account authority. Owners complete company onboarding, manage company details, manage all operational data, invite and manage users including resetting passwords, and activate or change the subscription. Owners are the only role that can change company-level identity or billing state, create or demote other owners, and restore archived or deleted records through the recovery center.

The manager is an operational admin. A manager runs the business day to day: customers, properties, bodies of water and their types, routes, schedules, dispatch, and the pool operators under them. Managers can create and edit users as long as those users are pool operators. What a manager cannot do is change the company profile, manage billing, reset another user’s password, or restore archived records. They can view the billing summary but not change it.

The pool operator is the field role. An operator sees their assigned routes and stops, the pool details required to service each body of water, service addresses, relevant visit history, and the forms for logging work. Operators must not see customer contact details, billing information beyond whether the account is active, company settings, unassigned routes, or unrelated customer data. Those redaction rules are a deliberate boundary, not a display preference, so a technician’s phone never becomes a way to expose your customer list.

A useful detail for small companies: the technician assigned to a route can be an owner, a manager, or a pool operator. So a one-person business does not need to create fake staff accounts to run routes, and an owner who also does field work simply owns their own routes. Team members are unlimited on every plan, so adding office staff or field techs never changes your price.
