Does PoolPuma work offline?

Pool routes run through dead zones: equipment rooms, gated backyards, rural roads. So the part of PoolPuma that has to survive a lost connection is field service logging, and it does.

When a technician logs a visit without signal, the work is saved on the device rather than lost. Body of water readings, chemicals used, notes, skip reasons, and the proof photos captured at the stop are queued locally. When the phone regains a connection, the queued visits and their photos sync on their own, so the technician can keep moving through the route instead of standing in the driveway waiting for bars. The app shows when items are waiting to sync, so nobody has to guess whether a visit made it up.

A few honest boundaries. PoolPuma is a web application you open in a browser, not a downloaded native app, though the field app can be saved to a phone’s home screen so it launches like one. Offline support is focused on the operator’s service-visit logging. Some actions, such as office staff recording a visit from the dashboard or attaching work-order photos, are online-only and expect a live connection. And syncing still requires the device to eventually get back online for queued work to reach the office.

The practical result is that a technician in a spotty backyard can complete a stop, capture the required photos and readings, and move on, confident the record and its proof are held safely on the phone until they upload. That is what keeps a route moving and keeps the day’s service history complete rather than full of gaps that get reconstructed from memory later.
